The White Meadow Lake Club House

Club HouseThe White Meadow Lake Clubhouse is the original Hoagland Mansion. The east ballroom was the first addition and as the community grew the west ballroom was added. Today these rooms are generally identified as the old and new ballrooms.

The Clubhouse serves as the focal point of this country club setting. It's ballrooms are used on a regular basis for community meetings including those of the P.O.A. Board of Directors, boy scouts, seniors, and aerobics. The ballrooms are equipped with professional sound and lighting systems for shows and dances. The rooms are rented to both residents and nonresidents for parties and catered affairs. The new ballroom has windows facing the Lake and adjacent grounds and is especially suitable for weddings and other events in the spring, summer, and autumn. A commercial kitchen with warming ovens and walk-in refrigeration supports the ballrooms. A cloak room is available for special events. Alcoholic and soft beverages are provided by arrangement with the Bar and Rental Committee.

The Clubhouse also houses several meeting rooms as well as a licensed bar and lounge. The Gold Bar is open to the community on weekends and holidays, serving beer, wine and other alcoholic and soft beverages. Adjacent to the bar is the Gold Lounge which is used in conjunction with the bar as well as for meetings and casual socializing. The Gold Lounge is used for various programs including Monday Night Football on it's large screen television set.

Catered events involving beverages are serviced by the Tiffany Bar which is situated apart from the other public areas.

The Clubhouse also houses the P.O.A. Business Office as well as several rest rooms for use whenever the building is open.

The Clubhouse is open during the hours of the Business Office, on Tuesday through Thursday evenings, and for special activities. The Gold Lounge and Gold Bar have their own hours in addition to the general schedule. A host or hostess is generally available both in the evening and for special events in order to be of assistance.

Business Office

This office, located upstairs in the Clubhouse, is open five days a week. The hours are from 9 AM - 5 PM, Tuesday through Friday. Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM - 9 PM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 1:30 PM. The office is always closed on Sundays and Mondays and all Major holidays.

The business office functions are quite numerous and it is the nuclear center of the P.O.A. The P.O.A. operates on a sizable budget and a payroll varying from 25 to 125 employees; therefore the office staff has a sizable job both in scope and responsibility. The staff consists of a general manager, a bookkeeper and a clerical person. At the peak summer season, additional part time clerical help is hired.

The office is responsible for supervising budget expenditures; receiving dues; purchasing supplies (as directed by others); preparing and filing tax forms; payroll; authorizing correspondence; coordinating a schedule of community activities and requirements; and maintaining records of community policy of Board actions that will effect future years' procedures. It is the P.O.A.'s direct communication between the Directors, the committees and the property owners and handles complaints, suggestions, and questions of members of the community. It administratively supports all P.O.A. functions
